For 25 years, Frankie G's Pub Kitchen & Patio has been more than just a neighborhood establishment in Westminster's Queensborough area—it's been a cornerstone of the community. When the founding family first opened their doors, they saw potential in an area where "there was literally nothing here." Their vision? To create a welcoming space where locals wouldn't have to drive far to enjoy great food, drinks, and company.
Today, that vision continues to evolve while staying true to its roots. The pub prides itself on its scratch-made menu, with an impressive 90% of items prepared from scratch in their kitchen. The space has grown to accommodate both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations, featuring a banquet area that can host up to 120 people, perfect for everything from birthday parties to celebrations of life.
New Chapter, Same Community Spirit
The pub is entering an exciting new phase under fresh management, combining Frankie G's beloved traditions with new innovations. Shayne May has joined the management team and brings 18 years of family business experience in the restaurant industry, including a long history of successfully running venues with live blues, jazz, and soft rock performances. This background aligns perfectly with Frankie G's established reputation for supporting live music and fostering community connections.
While Darrell, a key figure in Frankie G's history, has stepped back but remains involved, the new management is focused on enhancing the foundation that the family built. Their mandate includes introducing new events, refreshing the menu while maintaining beloved classics, and updating the wine list to strengthen the establishment's wine culture.
What truly sets Frankie G's apart is its unwavering commitment to being a community hub. Located within a 10-minute walk for most neighborhood residents, it serves as a gathering place where locals can enjoy everything from lunch specials to Super Bowl parties. With three large screens and multiple TVs throughout the space, it's become a favorite spot for sports enthusiasts to gather and celebrate together.
Looking ahead, Frankie G's remains dedicated to its core philosophy that whether you're in a restaurant or a pub, the welcome should be the same: "Hi, how are you? Welcome to our home." This approach, combined with their commitment to quality service and community support, continues to make them a beloved fixture in the Queensborough area.
As the hospitality industry rebuilds and reinvents itself post-Covid, Frankie G's stands ready to serve its community with reasonably priced, quality food, welcoming service, and the same warm atmosphere that has made it a neighborhood favorite for the past 25 years. The establishment continues to support community initiatives and remains open to hosting fundraisers and various functions that bring people together, ensuring its place as a vital part of Queensborough's social fabric.
