The event, set to take place on February 22, 2025, will benefit critical initiatives, including the "Don’t Go Hungry" program and other Rotary Club projects.

The Don’t Go Hungry program is vital in addressing food insecurity in New Westminster, ensuring that vulnerable community members have access to nutritious meals and resources. The Vagabond Players have officially announced the cast for their upcoming production of The Revolutionists, set to take the stage at The Bernie Legge Theatre from April 24 to May 11, 2025.

This sharp-witted historical drama, set during the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror, will feature:

  • Katherine Morris as playwright Olympe De Gouges

  • Ina Wang as assassin-in-the-making Charlotte Corday

  • Kelsey Robertson as the exiled and eccentric Marie Antoinette

  • Marion Landers as Caribbean spy Marianne Angelle

Blending history with humor, The Revolutionists brings together four extraordinary women fighting for justice, equality, and survival under the shadow of the guillotine. With quick-witted dialogue and a powerful feminist message, the play promises an entertaining and thought-provoking experience for audiences.!

Brides-to-be have a unique opportunity to find their dream wedding dress at a fraction of the price during The Bridal Gallery's upcoming Sample Sale Event, taking place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to Monday, February 24, 2025, at 5:00 PM (PST).

Located at 701 Columbia Street, New Westminster, this appointment-only event allows brides to shop from a curated selection of designer gowns, all sold off-the-rack "as is." Prices start at $500, and each bride will have a 45-minute private consultation with a bridal expert, offering the chance to try on 6-8 dresses.

To attend, brides must secure a ticket through Eventbrite, after which The Bridal Gallery team will reach out to schedule an appointment. Each bride is allowed to bring up to two guests, and walk-ins will not be accepted.

Adding to the excitement, The Bridal Gallery is hosting a dress giveaway during the event. Every bride who RSVPs will be entered into a draw to win a free gown valued up to $700. To qualify, participants must follow @thebridalgallery on Instagram, like the giveaway post, tag two friends, and attend the event. The winner will be announced on Instagram on the morning of the sale.

For those who have never tried on wedding dresses before, The Bridal Gallery advises booking a full bridal appointment ahead of time, as sample sales can be fast-paced and may not provide the ideal experience for first-time shoppers.

Once a bride says "Yes to the dress," the purchase must be paid in full, with no refunds or exchanges, and the gown will be packed up for immediate take-home. The boutique also offers cleaning and alteration services (at an additional cost) for dresses brought back 8-10 weeks before the wedding date.

With limited appointment slots available, interested brides are encouraged to secure their tickets early for this highly anticipated event.!
