When winter weather hits and snow piles up, shoveling can become a daunting task for many. That’s where Snow Angels Canada comes in – a grassroots initiative that connects Canadians who need help with snow removal to volunteers ready to lend a hand. Founded by Lincoln McCardle in 2015, this program is designed as a simple, community-driven alternative to costly and bureaucratic snow removal services.

Snow Angels Canada provides a platform for neighbors to assist one another with shoveling snow, whether you're someone in need of help or looking to volunteer. It's an "experiment in kindness" that encourages community members to get involved and make a difference during the chilly winter months.

How to Get Involved

  1. Request Help or Volunteer: Visit the user-friendly Snow Angels Canada website to either request assistance or sign up as a volunteer. The platform makes it easy to connect with others in your area.

  2. Spread the Word: Even if you can’t shovel snow, you can support the program by sharing it with friends, family, or on social media. Know a student who needs volunteer hours? Encourage them to join!

  3. Form a Halo: Turn snow removal into a group effort! Team up with neighbors or friends to tackle snowy sidewalks together. Not only does it make the job easier, but it’s also a great way to connect with your community.

Snow Angels Canada is built on the belief that small acts of kindness can make a big impact. Whether you grab a shovel yourself, inspire someone else to help, or simply spread the word, you’re playing a role in making neighborhoods safer and friendlier during the snowy season.

Looking for a place to meet fellow board game enthusiasts, video gamers, artists, or tabletop fans? The Phantom Alley New West Social Club has you covered!
