The BC Farmers’ Market Awards are back for the 2024 season, recognizing exceptional farmers' markets, vendors, and individuals who contribute positively to their communities and to BC’s thriving farmers’ market scene. Nominations are now open, allowing community members to spotlight the people and markets that go above and beyond to support local food, artisans, and community engagement.

The award categories cover a range of contributions, from market managers who foster strong community connections to vendors promoting local agriculture and municipalities actively supporting market initiatives. Other awards will highlight achievements in youth engagement, diversity and inclusion, and volunteer dedication, and top market entertainers will be recognized for their lively performances.

Winners will be announced at the BC Farmers’ Markets Awards Ceremony & AGM on March 4, 2025. Those interested in nominating can refer to the BC Farmers’ Market directory for a list of member markets and eligible nominees. Vote Here

 💡 Celebrate the Season at the "Light Up Sapperton" Event on December 8

The newly established Sapperton Business Collective is excited to present its debut event, "Light Up Sapperton," a festive neighborhood gathering set for December 8, from 12 to 7 PM. This community celebration promises a day filled with holiday cheer, seasonal activities, and a warm welcome for all who attend. Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring friends, enjoy the festivities, and soak up the holiday spirit right in the heart of Sapperton.

The Collective is also seeking volunteers to help make this event memorable. Those interested in lending a hand and spreading holiday joy can reach out via the @VisitSapperton Instagram page, where updates on activities and event highlights will be posted. Mark your calendars, gather friends and family, and join the community for an unforgettable seasonal celebration!
