The holiday season is fast approaching, and that means it’s time to gear up for the Fourth Annual Holiday Cookie Exchange! This festive tradition has grown into a wonderful way for friends and neighbors to come together, bake up delicious treats, and share the joy of the season.

This year, participants will again be divided into teams of 6-10 people. Once teams are assigned, each group can plan their own meeting spot and date, usually between late November and mid-December. Each participant can bake one or two types of cookies, depending on their preference and availability. It's a fantastic chance to try out new recipes, trade favorite baking tips, and go home with a delightful variety of cookies to enjoy through the holidays!

Be sure to sign up soon so we can finalize the teams. Let’s make this cookie exchange the most memorable one yet! Sign up now.

Are You Prepared?

Get ready to safeguard your family, pets, and home by joining an essential Emergency Preparedness Workshop on November 14, from 7:15 to 8:45 pm at the təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre. This free session is designed to equip attendees with crucial knowledge on how to handle potential hazards in the area, with practical guidance on steps to take both before and after emergencies or disasters. By understanding local risks and preparing beforehand, you can ensure the safety and well-being of those you care about when faced with unexpected events.

Preparedness is essential for everyone. Natural and man-made hazards, from extreme weather to power outages, can strike unexpectedly, putting lives and property at risk. Being ready with an emergency plan helps reduce panic, minimize injury, and ensure that essential resources and safety measures are in place. Attending this workshop also offers valuable insights on building a home emergency kit, establishing a communication plan, and protecting pets and vulnerable family members.

All registered attendees will automatically be entered into a draw to win a free emergency kit, giving you a head start on preparation essentials. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn vital strategies for your family’s safety—register today! HERE.
