Kid Koala’s Nufonia Must Fall is a mesmerizing multimedia show that combines cinema, theatre, and live music into an unforgettable experience. After last year’s success with The Storyville Mosquito, Kid Koala returns to Massey Theatre for his only British Columbia stop on November 15-16.

In this performance, puppeteers bring Kid Koala’s graphic novel Nufonia Must Fall to life using intricate miniature sets. Directed by Oscar-nominated K.K. Barrett, the show features live filming, cinematic lighting, and large-screen projections. Kid Koala performs the original score on piano and turntables, accompanied by the Nufonia String Quartet, as all elements unfold in real time.

A pioneer of multimedia storytelling, Kid Koala has captivated audiences worldwide with his ability to blend music and visual art. Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to his work, this immersive performance is a must-see.

Kid Koala, also known as Eric San, is a renowned DJ, composer, and multimedia artist. He’s famous for blending turntables with visual storytelling, spanning genres like hip-hop, ambient, jazz, and classical. With five solo albums and collaborations with acts like Gorillaz and Deltron 3030, Kid Koala has earned a reputation for his genre-defying work. His live shows are equally innovative, featuring turntable carnivals and immersive multimedia performances. Kid Koala has also contributed to film scores for The Great Gatsby, Baby Driver, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

Current Queensborough Community Centre - Bush, Bohlman & Partners LLP - Architect

As the 2024 provincial election campaign heats up, the Richmond-Queensborough riding has become a focal point, with both the NDP and Conservative parties making significant promises to the community. NDP candidate Aman Singh has pledged to make a student bus program between Queensborough and New Westminster Secondary School both free and permanent. Originally introduced as a pilot project in January 2024, the service currently charges $30 per student, but under Singh's plan, this fee would be eliminated, benefiting over 230 students. Singh emphasizes that this initiative will help families financially while providing a safe means of transport for students.

On the other hand, the Conservative Party, led by John Rustad, is proposing the construction of a new athletic facility in Queensborough. The project, which would include a track and artificial turf field, is valued at $5 million and is designed to serve as a multi-purpose venue for sports, fitness programs, and community events. Conservative candidate Steve Kooner highlights the long-overdue investment in Queensborough, stating the facility would provide a safe and accessible space for all residents, from youth to seniors.

The Richmond-Queensborough riding, created in 2015, has seen tight election races in the past, and both parties are vying for the support of this pivotal community with their promises of improved infrastructure and services.
