Accident at 20th and 8th.
The New Westminster Police Department is investigating a pedestrian collision that took place on the afternoon of October 4th at the intersection of 20th Street and 8th Avenue. The pedestrian, who was struck by a vehicle, has been transported to the hospital by BC Emergency Health Services paramedics. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene following the incident, and police are working to determine the contributing factors of the collision.
The intersection is currently closed to traffic in all directions, and motorists are advised to take alternate routes. Authorities are asking any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to come forward with information.
Additionally, witnesses seeking support are encouraged to contact the New Westminster Police Department's Victim Assistance Unit.
