As 2024 comes to a close, New West Artists and the Royal City Literary Arts Society (RCLAS) are joining forces to host a festive year-end celebration. The Holiday Pop-In invites members, supporters, friends, and family to enjoy an evening filled with art, literature, and holiday cheer.

Event Details:

• What: Holiday Pop-In

• When: Tuesday, December 17, 2024, 6:30 PM–9:00 PM

• Where: Centennial Lodge, Queen’s Park, New Westminster (in the same building as the Gallery in Queen’s Park)

• Who: Open to the public. Everyone is welcome!

What to Expect:

The Holiday Pop-In is a perfect opportunity to connect with fellow art and literature enthusiasts while enjoying a variety of activities, including:

• Art and Book Displays: Explore works created by members of New West Artists and RCLAS.

• Meet ‘n Mingle: Chat with local artists, authors, and community members in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

• Refreshments: Enjoy complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.

 🧺 BC Farmers’ Market Awards - Nomination Deadline today December 15, 2024

The BC Farmers’ Market Awards are back for the 2024 season, recognizing exceptional farmers' markets, vendors, and individuals who contribute positively to their communities and to BC’s thriving farmers’ market scene. Nominations are now open, allowing community members to spotlight the people and markets that go above and beyond to support local food, artisans, and community engagement.

The award categories cover a range of contributions, from market managers who foster strong community connections to vendors promoting local agriculture and municipalities actively supporting market initiatives. Other awards will highlight achievements in youth engagement, diversity and inclusion, and volunteer dedication, and top market entertainers will be recognized for their lively performances.

Winners will be announced at the BC Farmers’ Markets Awards Ceremony & AGM on March 4, 2025. Those interested in nominating can refer to the BC Farmers’ Market directory for a list of member markets and eligible nominees.
